Launching your new website is an exciting time. While, you might be eager to show your website to the world, there’s good reason to take a considered approach.
A good web developer doesn’t launch a site and then walk away. There is usually a bit of house-keeping to do after the site launches. This can include little tweaks, setting up analytics and doing further optimisation. It’s not a great idea to direct people to your website, if someone is still poking around in the backend.
For this reason, it’s a good idea to do a ‘soft launch’ of your website and then do a full launch a couple of weeks later. This way, you can be confident that any bugs have been ironed-out and your users will have a great experience.
